Situated in the middle of the Leeward Islands in the Eastern Caribbean, Antigua is approximately 17 degrees north of the Equator. A beautiful Island ringed almost entirely with coral, creating safe harbours and calm seas. The warm climate, lush green canopies and stunning turquoise tinged beaches make it a destination you can only call paradise. Lush green hills fill spectacular views inland, while all around this island of discovery is the tranquil warm sea alive with abundantly coloured tropical fish.

Apart from the natural pleasures, Antigua offers national treasures such as English Harbour, one of the safest anchorages, with its natural deep water, flanked by protective hills, developed by the British Navy as a dockyard in the 18th century. Named Nelson's Dockyard in honour of its most famous resident, Admiral Horatio Nelson, the dockyard stands in tribute to the "age of sail". As one of the finest remaining Georgian naval facilities, the dockyard continues to function as a facility dedicated to the service.

Recently restored and upgraded to the best international standards, and with many fine restaurants, boutiques and museums, Nelson's Dockyard has become a unique, world class heritage site.
